Time to cheer up for Micromax Unite 2 users. Micromax will be rolling out Lollipop update for Micromax Unite 2 users really soon. Micromax Unite 2 which is currently priced at Rs. 5,948 (Flipkart) features 4.7inch LCD touchscreen and comes with Android v4.4.2 KitKat. Micromax sold more than 1.5 million Unite 2 within a year from its launch.
Micromax said in its press release, “Launched with the aim to remove the language barrier in the country, Unite 2 was the world’s first phone with 21 languages support. The sale figure of the smartphone highlights the need of our masses for a more efficient technological experience which gives them the freedom to communicate through their phones in the comfort of their native language,”
Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Micromax Unite 2 users will be an OTA (over-the-air) update. To avail the update, users will have to manually search for updates from their phone. Micromax Unite 2 users can navigate to Settings > About Phone > Software Update and force check for latest update.
Micromax has not released official changelog for the update but users can expect better UI, enhanced battery life and smooth performance. Also many bugs will be fixed with this update.
